Decalcifying

From time to time, you should decalcify the appliance. The intervals depend on the lime content of your water.
If a little bit of limescale has built up, we recommend a decalcification with citric acid or vinegar. In case of
heavy limescale, descaling agents should be used.
- Fill a sufficiently high cooking pot with a solution of water and citric acid or vinegar. Fix the appliance vertically
at the rim of the pot and make sure that the pot is filled up to the MAX marking.
- Set the temperature to 70 °C / 158 °F. Once the temperature is reached, allow the water to circulate for 20 minutes.
- Turn off the appliance and unplug the power cord.
- When the heating rod has cooled, rinse it with cold water and allow to dry.
