3. Preparation before use

The user and general maintenance manual provided with the generating set must be read carefully.
The recommended oil differs according to the fuel used.
The generating set cannot run on two fuels simultaneously. Check the positions of the fuel taps according to the
Important
fuel used (see the section on Changing fuel).

Choose the location where the generating set will be used.

Check that the generating set is correctly earthed.

Check the oil level.

Check the condition of the air filter.

Connect the relief valve (no. 1) on the generating set to the gas cylinder using a pipe (U-bend tubing) fitted with a new seal and a
pre-regulator, both of which are approved.
N. B.: The maximum gas supply pressure of the generating set relief valve is 1.5 bar.

Use a gas leak detector (aerosol, soapy water, etc.) to check the seal on the pipes and gas connections: bubbles indicate a gas
leak.
N. B. : After checking the seal on the pipes and gas connections, rinse them with clean water and dry them.

4. Using the generator set

Before use:
To stop the generating set in an emergency, switch the control or the on/off key to "OFF" or "O".

4.1.1 Changing fuel
The generating set cannot run on two fuels simultaneously.
Important
Switching from petrol mode to gas mode:

Ensure that the oil used is suitable for use with gas (see the
Specifications section). Change it if necessary.

Close the engine fuel tap by setting it to the "O" position.

Run the generating set until it runs out of petrol.
The generating set is ready to run on the fuel selected:
- to start running on gas, see the section entitled "Start-up (gas)",
- to start running on petrol (see the Generating set user and maintenance manual)

Switching from gas mode to petrol mode:

Close the gas cylinder tap (if fitted).

Disconnect the gas cylinder from the generating set.

Run the generating set until it runs out of gas.
