Refer to the generating set user and general maintenance manual for advice and rules on safety which must be followed when using
the generating set.
1.3.3 Precautions relating to the use of gas

Replace the gas supply hoses or pipes as soon as necessary (if in poor condition or past the expiry date).
The entire length of the pipes, tubes and connecting parts must be visible and they must be arranged so that
they cannot be damaged by heat, crushing, pinching, stretching, twisting or impact.
Only use approved Butane and Propane cylinders, available on the market.
Limited numbers of Butane cylinders should be stored indoors and Propane cylinders should be stored
outdoors.

2. Description of gas connection

1 Relief valve
Never press and hold down the gas control continuously or for a prolonged
period.
Never attempt to operate on, unseal or open the pressure relief valve.
The gas cylinder must not be connected to the generating set while pipes and
hoses are replaced.
Butane and propane are inflammable gases and form an explosive mixture
with air.
Never open the gas cylinder tap (if fitted) near an open flame, sparks or a lit
cigarette.
Keep all inflammable materials (e.g. petrol, oil, fabric etc.) out of the way.
Gas cylinders must never be placed next to the burnt gas exhaust outlet.
Gas supply procedures must be carried out in the open air (outside storage)
or in a well-aerated room (one with permanent ventilation and which is of a
sufficient size) and in an area well away from fire, people or animals.
If an operation must be carried out on the generating set when it is running,
stop it first and close the gas cylinder tap (if fitted).
