In the event of a breakdown, maintenance work on the device may only be
undertaken by qualified persons. If this is not complied with, any claims under
warranty will be declared null and void. If you wish to register a complaint, our
contact address can be found at the end of this user manual. If applicable,
please note the repair helpline number for your country, which can be found on
the attached sheet.
This equipment is not intended for use by persons (including children) with lim-
ited physical, sensory or mental abilities or with insufficient experience and/or
insufficient knowledge, unless the individual concerned is either supervised by
someone responsible for his/her safety, or receives instructions from this per-
son as to how to use the equipment. Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the device.
The local regulations regarding the disposal of your packaging materials,
empty batteries and used units must be followed. Recycle these materials
wherever possible (see section 4.8).

4 SAFETy INSTRUCTIONS AND TIPS

4.1 general

The Babyphone is designed to detect sounds and is therefore commonly used
to monitor babies, young children and those requiring additional care. Please
be aware that this Babyphone is not a substitute for responsible, correct paren-
tal supervision.
Check the functionality of the units each time before use. you are advised to
check the connection regularly during normal operation.
The use of the Babyphone is restricted to detecting sounds within a given
premises. Any other individuals who are or might be present in the room being
monitored should be notified of the presence of the Babyphone.
The use of the wireless room monitor is license-free. We cannot guarantee
that any interference caused by other wireless systems or atmospheric distur-
bances will not be picked up during transmission.
If the Babyphone is not in use, please switch off the device using the power
button. If the Babyphone will not be used for a longer period of time, discon-
nect the power adapter and remove the batteries.

4.2 temperature indicatOr

The temperature sensor is located on the back of the baby unit. To ensure an
accurate reading you should not cover this sensor or place the unit in direct
sunlight. you should also avoid placing the unit next to a heating appliance.
The temperature range is from 10°C to 39°C. NOTE: the temperature indica-
tion is merely indicative.
