Foreword

Dear Hailo customer,
In purchasing your Hailo aluminium scaf-
folding, you have acquired an adaptable
and robust scaffold.
The finishes for the Hailo aluminium lad-
der scaffolding models 9476 and 9477
satisfy the requirements of the
DIN EN 1004 (version 2005) and the
latest regulations of the German
construction employer's liability insurance
association for:
- Small scaffolds BGR 173, and for
- Moveable scaffolds BGR 172 dated April 2000.
In order to guarantee safe working on
and with the aluminium scaffolding, the
item must be erected, used and dismant-
led in accordance with these "Instructions
for erection and use".
Before using the aluminium scaffolding,
please read these instructions through
carefully.
They reflect the latest rules and require-
ments for drawing up instructions for erec-
tion and use, in accordance with
EN 1298 - IM - de, version dated 1996.
Please take time to familiarise yourself
with the individual elements and assembly
components.
In particular, please take note of the safe-
ty advice given in these instructions.
Do not begin working at height without prior pre-
paration, but familiarise yourself section by section
with operating at the higher levels, in order to
develop the necessary sense of safety for working
at height.
